“Physics” eh? This guy is just trying to do a bit of elementary teaching; cut him some slack ok. BTW, where did you get your PhD?
It isn’t any kind of a Phenomenon that causes the left pedal (if it has normal threads) to slowly come off the crank. It’s just simple physics. Pedaling puts centrifugal forces on the pedal which would cause it to back out of the crank threads. Using the reverse threads negates that force. Physics not a phenomenon.
