I KNOW its like “WEAR WHATEVER YOU WANT!!” type of thing, but I just wanted to know anyway,
For mountain biking: Do people generally wear bike shorts (not baggies) and capri tights? What about tights?
For road: Do people sometimes wear baggies?
AND FOR capri tights, is there padding underneath or do I need separated bike shorts for capris?
Thanks so much and God bless!!

just opinions :
Road riding in town, fit and visibility are important. Fit means less wasted energy and, those early season bulges aren’t so obvious, visibility is a safety thing.
Baggies get caught in the wind and slows one down.
I like to look something like a cyclist or sports athlete at least , rather than a person who has to ride a bike due to being down and out.
Seems like ones gets a little more space and respect from traffic.
On the trail I see both. Seems as most racer types wear bike shorts though. On the road bike shorts or tights are what most all performance riders wear where the speeds are higher and the baggies flap in the wind. My tights have no padding; I ride with or without padded shorts over them depending on the temp.
well if you go mountain rideing then you need long jeans or something equal to it to portect your legs from rocks and bumps but road I my self use short shrit and shorts hope this helps god bless you
