Alright; so I’m that guy at your local party who barely talks. I’m that guy that gets asked a ton of questions; and always gives awkward answers. I’m that guy who never wears the awesome clothes, never has his hair right.. You know what I mean; the loner – no need for further explaination.
I want to start living. I really do. I’m 19; I have no hobbies, no motivation, no job, and no future. I have only three friends, with who I really start to get out of touch, signed up for my study to late and have a whole year of nothing ahead of me. Pathetic, really. I’ve been thinking a lot today (had an awkward party again yesterday evening) and it’s time for a change. And I need some tips from you guys to help me get started. This time I’m not going to back out of something when the time is there. I’m going on a holiday from August 6h till August 15th, and I’m planning to start on the day of departure. This is what I’ve come up with so far today. Please reply with what I should add to my to-do list.
August 6th:
-Get rid of piercing.
-Get a tan.
-Become vegetarian again, instead of vegan (which I am now. Will help giving some extra energy)
-Stop scratching my zits all the time; so I can finally get rid of them.
After August 15th:
-Get a different haircut.
-Ask my dentist about whitening teeth.
-Sign up for a job.
-Sell the majority of my games.
-Really start working on learning to play guitar.
-Spend less time on my computer – more time with friends.
-Go out in weekends – meet new people.
-Buy new clothes. Dress more fancy.
-Start working out again.
Within a month of August 15th:
-Have a job.
-Start lessons for a motorbike driving license.
-Buy a mountain bike; join a mountain biking club.
-Lost all zits (best case scenario; I only scratch them when I’m stressed out)
Within half a year of August 15th:
-See how things have worked out; make a recap and summarize all changes.
-Sell my TV, all games and my Xbox.
-Start looking to buy a motorbike.
-Experiment with different styles; try out a beard or something.
-Have whiter teeth, a better haircut, look better, and especially more healthy, dress fancier. Have at least three new friends.
What should I add? And does anyone have any tips in general? It’s hard to make a change; I’ve been the way I am pretty much all my life.
Thanks for the answers! I’m afraid I’ve send out the wrong image though. I’m not a basement dweller – in fact I’m in quite above average shape. Used to work out a lot in the past. And yeah; I need to keep an eye out so that I won’t lose my own personality. I will

Well first off I want to start off by saying that you have to make sure that you are dedicated to your to do list.
I’ll create you one:
1)
Go to the gym more often or go running, get some exercise. Stay healthy and impressive.
Go out to clubs and what not, (you’ll get a whole lot of contacts and numbers, specialy when they’re drunk. Get laid if you want to.)
Grab a few numbers from girls, you need some females in life.
Don’t approach them sexually (if you do, then they will see you as nothing but a booty call, show some respect and you’ll be friends with them)
2)
Don’t be afraid to use facial products (a LOT of men use them and end up with a positive result)
Don’t necessarily become a vegetarian but regulate what you eat
(eat meat for dinner every week, get some yogurt)
Use some money, go buy a pare of hot sneakers, a new t-shirt and new jeans every week or two, don’t dress more fancy but more in style.
Lay under the sun (don’t forget tanning cream), get your tan on. But don’t end up looking like the jersey shore cast.
SHAVE! That’s a big thing for the ladies, we want our men with smooth faces.
3)
Hygiene! We don’t want smooth and crystal clean looking dudes, but we want them to look like they won’t spread some sort of disease. Don’t pick your nose with you fingers! Brush your teeth, because we don’t want to make out with poop. And bathe, you want to smell good or not bad. So people won’t be fainting of your B.O. (oh and wash your hair at least once per week). You can use mens head and shoulders.
Go to the barber, and get your hairstyle on. Pick the hairstyle you wish to have.
Be yourself but don’t be displeasing. Always be a man and friendly with the ladies. And with the guys, be jokative and loyal lol.
But over all, you have to learn how to feel confident. Look in the mirror after showering, and say “IMMM, TOO SEXY FOR MY SHIRT, TOO SEXY FOR MY JEANS, TOO SEXY OH YEAH IT HURTS”. Have fun while looking at yourself. It helped me to build confidence too
.
Good luck! Hope I helped
That is a hugggge plate man! but you sound determined and well played .. just take some stride and dont put tons of pressure on yourself and recognize progress! Keep a journal and to save you money for teeth whiting, brush with 50/50 hydrogen peroxide/water. Tea tree oil is good for acne and manuka honey is great for healing. You said you have no hobbies?? Take up DIY natural skin care.. its fun and rewarding and well..youll possibly get beautiful skin! Before changing your outside appearance, wonder “is this really me”? think about what message you will be sending out. And i don’t mean this in a way to be accepted by others, but actually help others understand you.. like your piercing..maybe this means something for you. Dont take away things you enjoy but rather start controlling your usages of things.
I know what you mean.. hard to make change; write down stuff, go over it each day. Remind yourself exactly what your doing!! Maybe explore your roots a bit and rediscover some childhood things that maybe can/still exist in yourself, this can be good or bad, lessons learned, experiences, memories ect. Look at things in new perspective, 0 perspective.
HA a basement dweller hahahahahahahahahah
