I’ve broke 4 shoelaces since the start of year mountain biking. I need to find a pair of shoes that I can wear mountain biking, without laces. Vans and converse slipons seem a bit flimsy, any other suggestions. Right now I have been wearing skate shoes without laces, and I tried Doc Martens but the laces broke two fast. Now they don’t have shoelaces. Any suggestions, I’ve trying tucking the laces in, and double knotting, yet trail side branches, and rubbing next to the gears and chain, break them quickly. Anyone else with this problem?

I remeber getting the laces casught in the cahin – many, many years ago. I switched to sneakers from Walmart that had velcro rather than laces for a number of years.
Then I changed my pedals to the ones with cleats and now have Shimano mountain bike shoes with velcro.
