i do no like clipless pedals. i had a bad experience and couldnt get out while falling. i want something modern but like the older style strap in pedals. you know the ones that is like a regular pedal but has a strap to go over regular shoes? is there a pedal that is one piece and is like that or am i going to have to buy pedals and buy the straps seperate?

I urge you to reconsider your opinion on clipless pedals!
I have ridden both and found pedals with straps downright dangerous, I will never ride those pedals again.
There must be a good reason why ALL pros ride with clipless??? for a mountainbike – check out Shimano M540 (or similar) and get a bike shop to set them up for you.
