mountain bike gear mountain bike pedals?
Looking to buy used mountain bike pedals..i’ve never used clip in pedals before so im not really sure about what all i need…to the clips come with the pedals and also do all clips fit all shoes? i’m looking at shimano…would shimano pedals and clips fit with specialized shoes? any information would be helpful…thanks.

I am primarily a runner. I have a TREK mountain bike for crosstraining. I do not plan on bike racing or triathalons. I read a lot about how I should have those clip pedals\shoes though to more evenly work my legs. I probably use the bike once a week or so.What do you experienced cyclists think?
first answer makes me think, those spinning classes are probably doing the job, my bike is just for fooling around on, recovery workouts….

mountain bike gear Mountain bike or BMX pedals that weigh 400grams or less?
I tried Atomlab pedals before but the bearings blow out too quickly on them. I run cage pedals at the moment that are shredding my shoes’ soles very very quickly. I’m afraid they will also do the same to my shins even though I wear leg armor.

What pedals are available?

(Not looking for clipless SPD style pedals nor toe clips)

mountain bike gear what kind of pedals should i get for my mountain bike?
i do no like clipless pedals. i had a bad experience and couldnt get out while falling. i want something modern but like the older style strap in pedals. you know the ones that is like a regular pedal but has a strap to go over regular shoes? is there a pedal that is one piece and is like that or am i going to have to buy pedals and buy the straps seperate?

I’m cheap and looking to use one pair of shoes for both my ATB and my road bike. I don’t have the shoes yet so any suggestions on that would be cool too.

I am looking to upgrade to Shimano SPD clipless pedals on my road bike and am pretty stuck with regards to the right ones to get!?

All of the road specific pedals I have seen (SPD-SL style) use a different cleat mechanism to the mountain bike pedals (such as the M520) but I much prefer the mountain bike shoes which have a smaller cleat and are much easier to walk in! I was just wondering if it is feasible to use a mountain bike style SPD pedal on a road bike or if pedals like theA520 are a kind of compromise between the two?

mountain bike gear New mountain bike clip in pedals, what to get?
Okay, so i am trying to research into MTB pedals but am getting more and more confused as to what everything means as i read more… so i figured i’d ask here

I am looking for some clip in, mountain bike shoes, for XC mainly… and daily commuting to and from school.

Shoes to go with them too, ive had a long look at something like

and what shoes do i get to go with them?
i figured shimano shoes would go with shimano pedals..

and a 150$ budget for shoes as well (this can be increased a tad if neccesary)
