uncategorized Is there an easy way to make a mountain bike into a stationary exercise bike without buying trainers?
I’m looking for a cheap/easy way to convert my mountain bike into a stationary bike, or at the very least use it indoors without motion, and I’d really like to avoid trainers due to financial reasons.
Any suggestions on how I might rig something up?

Is there really a difference between a mountain bike and road bike ridden on the street?

On a mountain bike on the street, there is more of a feeling of control and stability and it seems better going up hills.

However, there is more of a thrill with a road bike because it’s faster and smoother.

Overall, I don’t think there is that much of a difference. The guy at the bike shop said a mountain bike can be ridden anywhere not just on trails.

In the long run, does anyone feel there is a difference between the two?

I was mountain biking and thought I could go over a 3 feet log. I’ve done it before but this one had thin slime growing on it and I crashed full speed and landed on right side of my head. I thought I had bashed my face in at first but only injuries I had was a cracked right sinus,2 broken ribs, and multitude of scrapes and lacerations.

But when I took my helmet off it was cracked right down the middle!

Has this happened to anyone else?

It was a blast!! I was so proud I showed my helmet to everyone I know.

I want to do it again but don’t want to get killed or paralyzed. Am I crazy that it made me feel great and more alive?

I want a mountain bike instead of my BMX. I can jump well and kinda want a bike for dirt jumping but can also handle trail riding. My price range is anything under 1500$. I am 13, weigh 120lbs, and am 5′8″. What is a good bike for me that is overall great for trail riding and dirt jumping. I consider trail riding as somewhat downhill too. So a bike that can do downhill, trails, and dirt jumping is perfect. All your suggestions will be greatly appreciated and please mention some important parts and accessories that are worth adding. Thanks

I’m sick of going to the bike shop to get it fixed. If there was a web site that could help me i could to it my self? The gear refuses to go in to 3rd gear. Is it possible that the thing that changes it is bent?

I have a women’s bike and a child’s bike (more like a Jr. mountain bike) and both have y frames. I ended up criss-scrossing the bike’s with the back wheels way up above the front. Is there a better way to do this or accessories I can add?
